Jack Savoretti nasce a Londra il 10 ottobre 1983 da padre italiano e madre tedesco-polacca. Culturalmente eclettico e influenzato dalla musica cantautorale americana, inglese e italiana, inizia ancora giovanissimo a scrivere poesie.
Nel 2007 pubblica il suo primo album in studio, “Between the minds” (De Angelis records), un album intenso, molto apprezzato dalla critica inglese che non tarda a descrivere Jack Savoretti, nonostante la sua giovane età, come il nuovo Bob Dylan. Supportato da BBC Radio 2 UK, nel 2008 il giovane cantautore italo-inglese è invitato ad aprire i concerti di Corinne Bailey Rae (nel suo tour europeo) e quelli del cantante Gavin De Graw.
Molti dei brani tratti da questo album come “Dreamers”, “No one’s aware”, “Between the minds”, “Chemical Courage”, sono stati utilizzati come colonna sonora di serial tv americani e inglesi di successo come “Grey’s anatomy”, “One tree hill”, e “The Eastenders”.
Il disco successivo, “Harder than easy” (De Angelis records), pubblicato nel 2009 e registrato a Los Angeles con alcuni dei musicisti di Tom Waits e The Suppliers (il collettivo scandinavo dietro cui si celano artisti del calibro di James Morrison e Jason Mraz), è un disco più intenso rispetto al primo, caricato di forti messaggi politici e sociali raccontati attraverso una voce calda e diretta.
Nel 2012, anno decisivo per la sua carriera, Jack Savoretti cambia etichetta e pubblica “Before the storm” (Fulfill records), prodotto da Martin Terefe e The Suppliers e registrato con la sua nuova band: “The Dirty romantics”. Il nuovo lavoro arriva al diciottesimo posto della classifica iTunes UK e al ventesimo nella classifica di Amazon UK mentre la critica inglese lo premia con 4 stelle su Daily Express e The Independent.
«Dopo otto anni ho finalmente trovato il mio genere musicale. Mi sento come se fosse il mio primo vero album.» – dichiara il cantautore italo-inglese – «Mi sono seduto e ho deciso di scrivere in modo che le canzoni potessero avere una loro vita come singoli brani ma al tempo stesso potessero essere parte di un concept album. Penso di aver raggiunto questo risultato e ne sono molto orgoglioso.»
In quell’anno il cantautore italo-inglese pubblica il singolo “Hate and love”, in duetto con l’attrice Sienna Miller, per la colonna sonora del serial tv americano “The Vampire diaries” mentre il brano “Soldiers eyes” appare nel serial tv americano “Sons of Anarchy” e raggiunge direttamente la N.1 della classifica americana di Amazon. Dopo questo successo, a luglio, Jack Savoretti viene chiamato ad aprire il concerto di Bruce Springsteen all’Hard Rock Calling Festival di Londra mentre Jools Holland lo vuole come supporter del suo tour inglese che, sul finire del 2012, culmina con un sold out alla Royal Albert Hall di Londra.
Il 2013 è un anno di transizione dedicato ai concerti in Europa e alla promozione in Italia del disco “Before The Storm”: il primo singolo, “Changes”, inserito nella colonna sonora di “Universitari” di Federico Moccia, apre la stagione radiofonica per Jack Savoretti che sbarca nel paese delle sue origini convincendo addetti ai lavori e critica. Al rientro in Inghilterra, dopo la prima tornata promozionale nel Bel Paese, Jack Savoretti riceve l’invito da Sir Paul McCartney a partecipare al videoclip di all-stars “Queenie Eye”, girato nello studio A degli Abbey Road Studios, indiscusso tempio della musica pop rock mondiale.
“Before the Storm” sarà la colonna sonora del primo club tour dell’artista in Italia: 7 date tra cui spicca il sold out al Blue Note Milano. Il 9 Aprile dello stesso anno Jack Savoretti torna in radio con “Sweet Hurt”, il primo singolo estratto dall’ EP omonimo autoprodotto che inaugura una nuova svolta musicale.
L’estate si concentra ancora sui live: performing artist del BST Hyde Park con Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Jack Savoretti è impegnato in un tour che parte dal Chezz Gerdi di Formentera, passando per il Montreux Jazz festival e il Wilderness per poi toccare sei venue in Italia tra cui spiccano il Museo Peggy Guggenheim di Venezia nella cornice del Veneto Jazz Festival, il Salotto del Jazz di Bologna e il Porto Antico di Genova.
Il 12 settembre 2014 viene pubblicato il suo nuovo EP “Tie me down” che segna la nuova collaborazione con BMG: quattro pezzi che annunciano un’evoluzione nella carriera artistica di Jack Savoretti e che anticipano il nuovo album “Written in Scars” atteso nel febbraio 2015. Con l’arrivo dell’autunno e con il singolo omonimo nelle radio, il cantautore italo-inglese si esibisce in una serie di concerti in Europa accompagnato dalla sua band. In Inghilterra, in ottobre, registra in poche ore il tutto esaurito al rinomato Tabernacle di Londra.
Il tour tocca anche l’Italia. Nasce un’intesa con la cantautrice Elisa che lo invita a salire sul palco dell’Arena di Verona durante il suo concerto-evento “L’Anima Vola Live”.
Jack Savoretti ricambia il favore invitandola a salire sul palco in Piazza Unità d’Italia a Trieste durante la Barcolana, la prestigiosa e internazionale Regata Velica. A novembre dello stesso anno Jack registra il tutto esaurito sul palco dell’Auditorium della Conciliazione di Roma.
Il 9 febbraio 2015 esce per il mercato anglosassone “Written in Scars” su etichetta BMG, esordendo al quinto posto della classifica inglese, premiato da quattro stelle dai critici di Q Magazine e The Independent.
“Written in Scars”, segna sicuramente uno dei punti più alti della carriera di Jack Savoretti che ha registrato questo disco lavorando insieme a Matt Benbrook e Samuel Dixon, già al fianco di Sia e Adele, nonché uno dei migliori autori attualmente in circolazione. In primo piano troviamo la simbiosi tra la chitarra acustica e la voce ruvida di Jack Savoretti inserite in un vestito sonoro innovativo frutto di una notevole ricerca musicale.
All’interno dell’album spicca, in esclusiva per l’Italia, il brano Fall che racconta la collaborazione con Zibba, il cantautore ligure.Nella primavera 2015 Jack Savoretti ha portato in tour il nuovo disco esibendosi nei migliori club e teatri inglesi, tra questi, vale la pena ricordare il sold out del 4 marzo sul palco del Shepherd’s Bush Empire di Londra.
Jack Savoretti è stato premiato agli ONSTAGE AWARDS 2015, concorso indetto dalla rivista ONSTAGE MAGAZINE dedicato ai migliori performer ed eventi live dell’anno, come Miglior Nuova Proposta Internazionale.
In Italia è stato ospite del Coca-Cola Summer Festival con il singolo The Other Side of love, segnalato tra le hit dell’estate 2015. Questa estate Jack Savoretti è stato impegnato in un tour che lo ha visto esibirsi sui palchi dei principali Festival europei come il Festival di Glastonbury, Cornbury e T in The Park. In Italia ha suonato: il 9 agosto al No Borders Music Festival a Sella Nevea (Udine), il 1 settembre all’Estathé Market Sound Festival a Milano (sold out) e il 3 settembre all’Home Festival di Treviso.
Dal 18 settembre è disponibile nei negozi tradizionali, in digital download e su tutte le piattaforme streaming Written in scars deluxe edition, il repackaging che svela nuovi aspetti della produzione artistica di Jack Savoretti. La nuova direzione intrapresa dal cantautore è testimoniata da Back where I belong (brano dalle atmosfere seventies in rotazione in tutte le radio italiane e attualmente nella playlist della BBC) e dalla ballad Catapult dove gli strumenti si aggiungono a ogni strofa e l’emotività cresce progressivamente. In più, ad arricchire l’album, cinque brani live (Written in scars, Back to me, Fight ‘till the end, Home, Broken Glass) registrati dal vivo a Roma nel suo ultimo tour e i due remix (Jack in a box e The Other side of love) realizzati dal dj danese Alexander Brown che rivelano le inedite declinazioni della musica del cantautore e ci portano direttamente alle atmosfere dei migliori club internazionali.

Jack Savoretti was born in London on October 10th 1983 from an Italian father and a German-Polish mother. Culturally eclectic and influenced by American, English and Italian songwriting, he began to write poetry at a very young age.
In 2007 he released his first studio album, “Between the Minds” (De Angelis records), an intense album, much appreciated by the English critics who soon described Jack Savoretti as the new Bob Dylan despite his young age. Supported by BBC Radio 2 UK, in 2008 the young Italian-English singer-songwriter is invited to open the concerts of Corinne Bailey Rae (on her European tour) and those of Gavin De Graw.
Many of the songs from this album such as “Dreamers”, “No one’s aware”, “Between the minds”, “Chemical Courage”, have been used as a soundtrack for American and British TV series like “Grey’s Anatomy”, “One Tree Hill”, and “The Eastenders”.

In 2012, the decisive year for his career, Jack Savoretti changed label and published “Before the storm” (Fulfill records), produced by Martin Terefe and The Suppliers and recorded with his new band “The Dirty romantics”. The new work reached the 18th place of the iTunes UK ranking and the 20th in the Amazon UK one, while the British critics rewarded it with 4 stars on the Daily Express and The Independent.
«After eight years I finally found my musical genre. I feel like it’s my first real album.» – the Italian-English singer-songwriter said – «I sat down and decided to write so that the songs could have their own life as singles but at the same time they could be part of a concept album. I think I have achieved this result and I am very proud of it.»
In that year the Italian-English singer-songwriter published the single “Hate and love”, in duet with the actress Sienna Miller, for the soundtrack of the American TV series “The Vampire Diaries”, while the song “Soldiers eyes” appeared in the American TV serial “Sons of Anarchy” and reached directly the #1 of the American Amazon ranking. After this success, in July, Jack Savoretti is called to open the Bruce Springsteen concert at the Hard Rock Calling Festival in London, while Jools Holland wanted him as a supporter of his English tour – which culminated, at the end of 2012, with a sold out at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
2013 is a year of transition dedicated to concerts in Europe and to the promotion in Italy of the album “Before The Storm”: the first single, “Changes”, inserted in the soundtrack of “Universitari” by Federico Moccia, opened the radio season for Jack Savoretti, who landed in the country of his origins convincing insiders and critics. Back in England, after the first promotional round in Italy, Jack Savoretti receives an invitation from Sir Paul McCartney to participate in the all-stars video clip “Queenie Eye”, shot in studio A of the Abbey Road Studios, the undisputed world temple of pop rock music.
“Before the Storm” was the soundtrack of the first club tour of the artist in Italy: 7 dates, including the sold out at the Blue Note in Milan. Summer still focused on live: as a performing artist at BST Hyde Park with Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Jack Savoretti was engaged in a tour which started from Chezz Gerdi in Formentera, passing through the Montreux Jazz Festival and Wilderness and then touching six venue in Italy like the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice, in the frame of the Veneto Jazz Festival, the “Salotto del Jazz” in Bologna and Porto Antico in Genoa.
On September 12th 2014 his new EP “Tie me down” was released, marking the new collaboration with BMG: four pieces announcing an evolution in the artistic career of Jack Savoretti and anticipating the new album “Written in Scars” expected in February 2015. With the arrival of autumn and with the homonymous single on the radio, the Italian-English singer-songwriter performed in a series of concerts in Europe accompanied by his band. In England, in October, the date at the famous Tabernacle in London went sold out in a few hours.
The tour also touched Italy. An agreement was born with the singer-songwriter Elisa who invited him to get on the stage of the Arena di Verona during his concert-event “L’Anima Vola Live”.
Jack Savoretti reciprocated the favor by inviting her to go on stage in Piazza Unità d’Italia in Trieste during the Barcolana, the prestigious and international Sailing Regatta. In November of the same year, Jack’s concert on the stage of the Auditorium della Conciliazione in Rome was sold out.
On 9th February 2015 he released for the Anglo-Saxon market “Written in Scars” on the BMG label, debuting in 5th place in the English classification, awarded by four stars by critics of Q Magazine and The Independent.
“Written in Scars”, certainly marks one of the highest points of the career of Jack Savoretti who recorded this disc working with Matt Benbrook and Samuel Dixon – who already collaborated with Sia and Adele, as well as being one of the best authors currently in circulation. In the foreground we find the symbiosis between the acoustic guitar and the rough voice of Jack Savoretti inserted in an innovative sound dress, the result of a remarkable musical research.
Inside the album stands, exclusively for Italy, the song “Fall” which sees the collaboration with Zibba, the Ligurian singer-songwriter. In the spring of 2015 Jack Savoretti toured the new record performing in the best English clubs and theaters – among these, it is worth remembering the sold out of March 4 on the stage of the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London.
Jack Savoretti was honored at the ONSTAGE AWARDS 2015, a competition organized by the magazine ONSTAGE MAGAZINE dedicated to the best performers and live events of the year, as the Best New International Proposal.
In Italy he was a guest of the Coca-Cola Summer Festival with the single “The Other Side of Love”, reported among the hits of summer 2015. On summer Jack Savoretti has been involved in a tour that saw him perform on the stages of the main European festivals like the Glastonbury Festival, Cornbury and T in The Park. In Italy he played: on August 9th at the No Borders Music Festival in Sella Nevea (Uine), on September 1st at the Estathé Market Sound Festival in Milan (sold out) and on September 3rd at the Treviso Home Festival.
From 18 September it is available in traditional shops, digital downloads and on all the streaming platforms “Written in scars deluxe edition”, the repackaging that reveals new aspects of the artistic production of Jack Savoretti. The new direction taken by the singer-songwriter is evidenced by “Back where I belong” (a 70’s atmosphere song, in rotation in all Italian radios and currently in the BBC playlist) and the ballad “Catapult” where the instruments are added to each stanza and the emotionally grows progressively. In addition, to enrich the album, five live tracks (“Written in scars”, “Back to me”, “Fight ‘till the end”, “Home”, “Broken Glass”) recorded live in Rome on his last tour and two remixes (“Jack in a box” and “The Other side of love”) made by the Danish dj Alexander Brown which reveal the unpublished variations of the music of the singer and take us directly to the atmosphere of the best international clubs.
After the success achieved last summer, Jack Savoretti is currently on tour in major European cities – in UK his tour was sold out at every date.
